  It starts in the ocean and ends up on the table. Yes, seafood makes its way to the table in many  different forms.It is a favorite of many and eaten more frequently than steak. Seafood is known to be a rich source of vitamins,  minerals, omega-3 fatty acids and iodine. Lobster, an expensive type of seafood , is usually served boiled. They thrive at the bottom of the ocean and are known to live for a very long time. Countries like Japan, are well known for their love of seafood.  Katsuobushi - this Japanese tuna dish, is made of dried,  fermented skipjack tuna. Smoked herring is a favorite of countries like Scandinavia,  the Caribbean and the Netherlands. Bacalao, dried cod fish, a favorite in Spain and Italy.
