RICE A STAPLE FOOD - ITS ORIGIN

 Salt as we know it, is a very simple commodity. It is not only essential to the body's survival , but also used as in a number of ways that we hardly think about. WHERE DOES SALT COME FROM? Salt may be extracted from the rocks in the sea (rock salt). It may also come from sea weed. MULTIPLE USES OF SALT Salt is simple and versatile. It is used in a variety of ways. Salt can be seen on the tables of the finest restaurants, at home on the dinner table or handed out in small packages in fast food restaurants. SALT AS A PRESERVATIVE Salt is used in preserved meats like sausages and salami. It is also used in gravies, canned goods, cheeses, pickles, olives, anchovies and many more. COFFEE AND ITS ORIGIN

Lets address some foods that are really special. Coffee is a highly  desirable commodity. Where does coffee come from? Coffee is grown in countries like Ethiopia, Colombia, Brazil and Peru. Interestingly, coffee originated in Ethiopia, in an area known as Kaffa. The Coffea plant produces a seed which has a pip. This pip is used for  coffee.  A small seed, but robust flavor, goes far and wide. Coffee is taken hot or cold. It is a favorite anytime of day.
